In 2015, as part of the Accessing the Ballot Box project, Inclusion International created two versions of a toolkit on inclusive civic engagement, one for families and people with intellectual disabilities, and the other for government officials. Both publications emphasize the importance of ensuring that persons with intellectual disabilities have equal opportunities to civic engagement and political participation, and offer both in-depth information and advocacy resources on the topic. The toolkits were developed with support from the United Nations Democracy Fund.
