Article 29 states:

Mentally disabled persons are not allowed to submit their candidature [for the Chamber of Deputies]...The following disability may be congenital or acquired after approval by a competent doctor recognized by the State...

(1) Physical disability;

(2) Blindness;

(3) Deafness or dumbness...

Article 76 states:

The Chamber of deputies shall be composed of 80 members as follows:…

  • (4) one (1) member elected by the Federation of the Associations of the Disabled.

 

Article 105 states:

…In the event that the duly elected President of the Republic dies or is on account of any reason permanently unable or otherwise chooses not to assume office, new elections are held.

 

Article 107 states:

In the event of the death, resignation or permanent incapacity of the President of the Republic, the President is replaced in an acting capacity by the President of the Senate; in the absence of the President of the Senate, by the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies and in the absence of both, the duties of the President are assumed in an acting capacity by the Prime Minister… In the case of the President of the Republic being out of the country, sick or temporarily unable to perform his or her duties, his or her duties are assumed by the Prime Minister.

 

Article 147 states:

…[The President and Vice-President of the Supreme Court] may be removed from office on account of undignified behaviour, incompetence or serious professional misconduct upon the petition of three fifths of either the Chamber of Deputies or the Senate and a two-thirds majority vote of each Chamber.
