Article 80, clause 1 states:

The National Assembly is composed of fifty members elected directly by universal suffrage and secret ballot in accordance with the provisions prescribed by the electoral law.

Article 4, clause 5 states:

The Heir Apparent shall have attained his majority, be of sound mind, and a legitimate son of Muslim parents.

 

Article 61 states:

In the event of his absence outside the Country and the inability of the Heir Apparent  to  act  as  Deputy  for  him,  the  Amir  shall  appoint, by an Amiri Order, a Deputy who shall exercise his powers during his absence. The said Amiri Order may include a specified arrangement for the exercise of the said powers on behalf of the Amir, or a limitation of their scope.

 

Article 82 states:

A member of the National Assembly shall:...

  • (2) be qualified as an elector in accordance with the electoral law...(4) be able to read and write Arabic well.

 

Article 125 states:

A Minister has to satisfy the qualifications laid down in Article 82.
