Case of Alajos Kiss v. Hungary

In the 2010 case of Kiss v. Hungary, the European Court of Human Rights ruled that voting rights cannot be restricted solely on the basis of guardianship due to a psychosocial disability. Though the ruling is binding only for the country of Hungary, it has widespread implications for other European countries.
