Voter Education

A candidate for constituent assembly in Mexico from the PRD party developed voter education materials in braille and easy-to-read format for voters with visual or intellectual disabilities. The document includes campaign proposals on disability rights.

"Elecciones sin discriminación," which was published by the Instituto Nacional Electoral (National Electoral Institute) in Mexico, includes informaion on accessible polling stations and braille ballot guides. The document includes braille on each page.

In 2016, voter education ads were produced in Haiti ahead of the November first-round elections. The ad campaign promoted elections inclusive of women and persons with disabilities. This ad in Haitian Creole roughly translates to say "voting without discimination is the only guarantee of a better future for Haiti."
