For the October 2015 elections, the Myanmar Independent Living Initiative collaborated with the Union Election Commission to develop an inclusive voter education poster that provides instructions for men and women with disabilities on how to cast their ballot. Using photos and clear language helps to mitigate any communication challenges that may occur for people who have low literacy skills. The poster was supported by the International Foundation for Electoral Systems, the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, and the United Kingdom Department for International Development.
