In 2014, the Association of Municipal Managers, Cerks, and Treasurers of Ontario (AMCTO) and the Accessibility Directorate of Ontario developed the Candidate's Guide to Accessible Elections to encourage candidates to reach voters with disabilities and to encourage persons with disabilities to become candidates. The Guide includes practical suggestions for increasing accessibility of the campaign.
