A 2011 thematic study by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights focuses on participation in political and public life by persons with disabilities by analyzing relevant articles in the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, highlighting good practices, and identifying the main barriers that persons with disabilities encouter when participating in political and public life.
