Article 51 states:

Citizens have the rights to elect and be elected in periodic elections and run for public office, excluding the limitations considered in this Political Constitution.

Article 134, part 2 states:

Candidates for representative in the National Assembly shall meet the following requirements…

  • (b) enjoy full civil and political rights.

 

Article 147 states:

Candidates for president or vice president of the republic shall meet the following requirements…

  • (2) enjoy full civil and political rights.

 

Article 149 states:

…In addition to the established absences in this Article, these are permanent absences of the President and Vice President of the Republic [including]…

  • (c) total permanent disability declared by the National Assembly, approved by two thirds of the deputies…
