Article 171 states:

Notwithstanding other special procedures established by the TSE…when a voter is a person incapable of voting for him or herself, he or she will do it publicly before the members of the polling station and the president of the station, at the request of the voter and complying with his or her will, will mark the ballots in the box of the candidate that the voter indicates, showing immediately the ballot to the other members of the polling station. The voter will deposit the vote by him or herself or with the assistance of the president of the polling station.
