Article 44 states:
Should not be registered to the voter lists...

  • (3) Individuals who are legally incapacitated [by an illness, a disability or deterioration as an effect of age];
  • (4) Those who have been stripped of their civic and political rights.

 

Article 209 states:

Cannot be elected provincial councilors...persons deprived of voting rights.

Article 91 states:

Any elector with a disability or physical handicap which makes it impossible for him to express his choice and to place his ballot in the ballot box is authorized to be assisted by an elector of his choice or by a polling station official.

Any Burkinan who is qualified as an elector is eligible for election to the President of Burkina Faso...
